Prepare to be transported to Tasmania’s breathtaking northeast coast, where crystal blue waters lap white sandy beaches and striking orange lichen-covered granite boulders. The Bay of Fires inspired design is perfectly warming for brisk evenings outdoors – be that seaside or poolside.

Our best selling throw inspired by the Bay of Fires, and area of outstanding natural beauty. The colors are drawn directly from the landscape, referencing the unusual orange lichen covered rocks and beautiful beaches that Australia is known for.

Made from 100% natural fiber recycled wool, an Australian first in textile recycling with a mix of 80% new Australian wool (note, not merino, 29-micron) and 20% recycled fiber. The recycled fiber component is made from mill waste including off cuts, blanket ends, waste yarn and selvage. This material is ragged to return it to a fibrous state, and then blended with the new wool through our carding line to make a unique yarn with a special flecked look.

Made in Launceston, Tasmania, on the same site we've been located on for over 150 years.

For over 150 years, Waverley Mills has been weaving on the same site on the banks of Distillery Creek in Launceston, Tasmania. As the last mill of their kind in Australia, they're continuing a tradition of enduring warmth, with every blanket, throw and scarf designed, spun, woven and finished onsite. Their historic mill, just seven minutes from Launceston’s center, welcomes visitors to witness firsthand how they're preserving heritage craftsmanship, bringing together sustainability and tradition to craft woolen textiles that are made to last for generations.
